One year ago today a beautiful little girl left this world.
One year ago today a family's heart shattered into a million pieces.
One year ago today thousands rallied around a family.
One year ago today I mourned for a child and her family that I have never met in person.
Since that time millions of people know her name.
Since that time millions of people have lifted up her family in prayer.
Since that time thousands of dollars have been donated.
Since that time many babies and their families have been spared the same heart ache.
All because one little girl blessed us all with her story and her legacy.
Today we wear purple.
Today we send balloons up to sweet baby Maddie.
Today we take a moment to tell those we love just how much we love them.
Today we squeeze our own children a little tighter.
Heather & Mike, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
