Movin' On Up

We have lived in our 3 bedroom apartment in the City for almost 5 years now. When we moved in I was extremely pregnant and had Jakob 3 days later. I brought my newborn son home to what looked like a warehouse. Boxes were everywhere...nothing had a home. Over the last few years we have made it home but I have never had that comfy homey feel about it. We've had many good times there and some bad. We've welcomed guests, housed friends when needed and have had three different families living above us during our time in the house.

Well...the time has come to say goodbye to our House in the City. We have found a new home, in the burbs, with lots of space, lots of natural light, a yard, a three car garage and in a wonderful neighborhood for our son. I will no longer have to worry about sending him to a, gasp, "City School". I am excited to play in my new space. I am excited to decorate my new space. I have informed my boys that I will make this home so darn comfy we'll never want to leave! I am bursting with fruit flavor as time winds down and we pack up our belongings. I have drawn out our new living quarters about a million times on notebook paper, playing with where I will put things, I've been looking at new sofa and love seat combos online, I've been purging crap that will not be coming with us...it's all so very exciting!

I will plan Jakob's next birthday party at our own home, instead of my parents house. I will make elaborate breakfasts of waffles and fresh fruit in my new huge eat-in kitchen. I will shower in a normal shower with a huge block glass window providing all the light I'll need instead of a leaky old clawfoot tub. We will dance on hardwood floors to whatever awesome mix Aaron throws in the stereo.

It's all so very exciting.
