Yesterday Jakob and I were headed to my parents house for a quick dip in the pool. We were meeting my siblings, their spouses and the babies. All trying to escape the sweltering heat and humidity.
Jake and I were discussing oceans, lakes, rivers and creeks on our drive. This discussion lead to another discussion about our trip to Lake Tahoe which then lead to an entirely different conversation about Rudy.
Conversation went as follows:
"Mom, I really miss Rudy."
"I'm sure you do."
"Yeah, he was like a son to me"
Blink Blink.
"We had some really great times together. Remember that one time when that bug bit me....."
Really son, where do you come up with this stuff???
