Last night Jakob forced himself to stay awake for the new Spongebob episode..."Who Bob, What Pants". It was passed his bedtime, he was already exhausted and he fell asleep two minutes after the show was over.
I put him to bed and my phone rang, it was my friend Lynne, her two boys are Jakob's BFFs:
Her: So did you watch it?
Me: I sure did.
Her: I wasn't really impressed. I mean, all this build up and anticipation...they had a count down going all day for pete's sake.
Me: I know.
Her: I suppose I laughed a couple of times.
Me: Me too. (Silent pause) Lynne, are we really critiquing a Spongebob Square Pants episode?
Her: I guess we are.
Me: Okay, I'm going to hang up now and kill myself. Night.

rofl My kids are nuts over Sponge Bob, I swear I want to spork my eyes out every time it's on, but yet I catch myself standing there watching, and watching, and watching.
Hey, you work with what you've got! I'm assuming you came to your senses and called back to review your opinions on the mise en scène and character development?
I love me some Sponge. You are not alone..so now we can make a secret I Hate Sponge Bob, But Not Really Club.
Oh, and vintage aprons? My staples are these two books: The Apron Book or A is for Apron.
